WORLD TAICHI DAY 4/30/22

After a two-year hiatus, we’re finally back in person to celebrate WORLD TAICHI DAY with others in the community and around the world! Join me and the Federal Way Community Center taichi group at the beautiful Pacific Bonsai Museum for a series of easy qigong movements as well as a few popular taichi forms. This event is open and free to the public and great if you’ve ever been curious about this ancient Chinese martial art. All are welcome and there is no experience needed.

Practicing taichi regularly can improve balance and coordination, increase energy and stamina, reduce stress, and calm the mind which has become increasingly important during these most recent years of challenging times.  Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is an “energy exercise” that connects the mind and body to promote healing and provides a basis for taichi. Learn to use your breath in a simple practice to help circulate your body’s energy and connect with others. You will leave feeling both energized and relaxed.
