STRESS RELIEF WORKSHOP SERIES
Do you get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Do you have trouble finding time to slow down? Stress can lead to depression and chronic disease, and can even prematurely age you. Gift yourself this New Year and learn lifelong tools to manage stress in this three part workshop series.
The first workshop, “Tips and Tools to Help You Survive a Busy Life,” will teach you some simple things you can do throughout the day to help you stay calm and sane as well as optimize your health.
In the second workshop, we will do some “energy exercises,” or qigong (pronounced “chee gong”) to connect the mind and body to promote healing. Learn to use your breath in a simple practice to help circulate your body’s energy, calm your mind, and connect with others.
In “Intro to Taichi,” you’ll learn fundamental taichi principles and basic taichi movements. Taichi is an ancient Chinese martial art that exercises the mind and body through slow movements in the form of “moving meditation.”
All workshops will be interactive. Please wear comfortable loose clothing for the second and third workshops.
