VIRTUAL WORLD TAICHI DAY 5/30/20
World Taichi Day is usually the last Saturday of April but given the recent events, it was cancelled and instead, there are now international campaigns bringing awareness of taichi and qigong to the public as a means to boost immunity during the COVID pandemic from April 25-May 30.
Practicing taichi regularly can improve balance and coordination, increase energy and stamina, reduce stress, and calm the mind which has become increasingly important during these challenging times. Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is an “energy exercise” that connects the mind and body to promote healing and provides a basis for taichi. Learn to use your breath in a simple practice to help circulate your body’s energy and connect with others.
In the spirit of World Taichi Day and in conjunction with the worldwide campaign, I will be hosting a FREE taichi/qigong class virtually on Zoom on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 10am-11:30am. At the time of the meeting, click HERE to join the class.
Alternatively, you can navigate to the Zoom website zoom.us and click on the “join meeting” link in the top righthand corner. Enter the meeting ID: 842 3236 5031 into the pop-up box when prompted.
All are welcome and there is no experience needed. Please join us from the comfort of your own home and wear loose, comfortable clothing.
